Make a meaningful impact at the elementary level as a vital support for students’ academic and emotional growth. This full-time contract opportunity, based near New London in East Lyme, CT, seeks a dedicated professional ready to begin as soon as possible and continue through 12/31/26. Your standard hours will be 8:45am to 3:45pm, allowing for work-life balance while serving a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students.

In this role, you'll engage with young learners, collaborate with educators, and help shape a positive school environment through expert counseling and comprehensive evaluations.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility in Connecticut
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Proficient in conducting student assessments, writing reports, and developing intervention plans
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
  • Capacity for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling services to support students’ social-emotional well-being
  • Administer assessments and evaluations to identify students’ unique needs and abilities
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and other team-based planning
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs
  • Serve as a resource for preventative support and positive behavior interventions
  • Engage with families and educational staff to promote student development
