Job Description
Embrace a rewarding opportunity supporting kindergarten students with autism in a contract role for the upcoming school year. This position focuses on providing speech-language therapy to primarily non-verbal children in an educational setting near Paterson, NJ. Candidates are needed for two full days a week, with the flexibility to choose which days they will work.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially those with autism
- Proficiency and passion for serving primarily non-verbal students
- Must provide current certifications along with a resume to be considered for an interview
- Clinical Fellows are not eligible for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy tailored to the needs of kindergarten students, most of whom are non-verbal
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators, aides, and support staff to foster communication and social skills
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and services provided
- Consult with families and staff to enhance carryover of skills in the classroom and home settings
