Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive Obstetric/Gynecological ultrasound imaging under provider supervision
  • Adhere to AIUM, ACOG, and departmental testing and procedural protocols
  • Deliver high-quality study images and accurate clinical data
  • Prepare and guide patients, assisting physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Collect thorough patient histories and assess clinical needs for each exam
  • Ensure all supporting documentation meets exam requirements
  • Efficiently manage workflow, including scheduling add-on and urgent exams
  • Educate patients, families, and teammates on testing procedures
  • Maintain compliance with fit-for-duty, HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment; report maintenance needs
  • Participate in department meetings, performance improvement initiatives, and peer review
  • Complete order entry and exam tracking using information systems

Qualifications

  • Experience and training in General Ultrasound, specializing in OB/GYN
  • Familiarity with Maternal Fetal Medicine procedures/protocols preferred
  • Excellent patient care, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, high-volume environment
  • Adherence to regulatory, safety, and compliance standards
