School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | New Britain, Connecticut
Job Description
Empower students to find their voices while advancing your speech-language pathology career on a rewarding contract engagement in central Connecticut. Three onsite opportunities are available supporting different school communities, with assignments spanning from late August through November. You’ll play a key role in helping children overcome communication challenges in either PreK or a middle school environment, working with dedicated colleagues and supportive staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP-CCC certification
- Valid and active Connecticut SLP-CCC license (required)
- Proven experience within school settings preferred: elementary, PreK, or middle school
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Passion for enhancing students’ academic and social success
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services onsite following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, create detailed reports, and develop measurable goals
- Provide consultative and collaborative guidance to teachers and families
- Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary planning
Three positions are open, each assigned to a specific school and time frame:
- Green-Hills PreK (08.24.2026 to 11.13.2026)
- Chippens Hill Middle School (08.27.2026 to end of November)
- Mountain View (08.27.2026 - 11.23.2026)
All roles average 35 hours per week and require onsite presence.
