Our organization is excited to announce an opening for a part-time Respiratory Therapist RRT at our facility!

Position Details
  • Schedule: 7 AM - 7 PM, 2 days per week, with rotating weekend and holiday responsibilities.
  • Licensure: Must possess RRT Licensure in Missouri.
  • Experience: Pediatric experience is preferred.

Role Overview

The Respiratory Therapist will evaluate and provide care for patients requiring respiratory therapy, administering prescribed therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment, creating a tailored care plan based on their diagnosis.
  • Deliver respiratory care services in alignment with physician orders, departmental policies, and established guidelines.
  • Implement and oversee the patient care plan and associated equipment, while monitoring, documenting, and communicating the patient's condition.
  • Perform advanced respiratory care techniques and assess the effectiveness of treatments and medication administration based on patient outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and available community support resources.
  • Assist in the care, calibration, and maintenance of all respiratory equipment, ensuring departmental inventory levels are maintained.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and rapid response situations.
  • Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience and education.
  • Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly communicate verbally to share information.
  • Frequent standing and walking are required.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 0-50 lbs.
  • Regular use of vision for near and far distances, as well as color differentiation.
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.
  • Occasional patient handling and driving may be necessary.
Licensure and Certifications
  • State of Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Work Environment

This position is classified as a day shift role within the Respiratory Therapy department, requiring a commitment of 24 hours per week.
