Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred (elementary or high school)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt approach for varied student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering student confidence and progress

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough screenings and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to support generalization of skills
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation for therapy sessions and student progress
  • Provide consultation and training to teachers and family members, as appropriate
  • Contribute to eligibility, placement, and IEP meetings as an active team member
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education in school-based SLP services
