Requirements
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery
  • Fellowship training in spine surgery is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of surgical cases and complex spine procedures
  • Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Conducting spine surgeries at Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital (103-bed) and Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital (537-bed, Level I trauma center)
  • Engaging in multidisciplinary care for complex neurosurgical and spine patients
  • Collaborating with PAs, RNs, and other support staff to ensure exceptional patient care
  • Utilizing cutting-edge technology such as O-Arm, Leica microscopes, stealth navigation, and CyberKnife
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical trials related to spine devices
  • Fostering a culture of camaraderie and mentorship within the neurosurgery team

  • Elyne Kahn, MD - Since 2019

Practice Support:

  • 5 PAs handle first call
  • 3 RNs assist with patient inquiries and wound care
  • Expected surgical cases: 150 in the first year, approximately 300 once fully established
