We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to become part of our OB/GYN practice at our organization, located in Farmington, Maine. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing personalized care to women and is eager to support our busy outpatient services under the guidance of experienced OB/GYN physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse range of women’s health issues, including prenatal and postnatal care.
  • Provide clinical care coordination for obstetrical and gynecological services.
  • Offer support in the labor and delivery unit, including assisting with deliveries.
  • Participate in some surgical procedures as needed.
  • Share call responsibilities on a 1:4 basis.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited nurse midwifery program recognized by the ACNM.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must hold a current license to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in Maine and possess a valid BLS certification. Surgical first assistant certification is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in labor and delivery and office settings is required; prior CNM experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in IUD insertion and office ultrasound is essential; experience with Nexplanon insertion is a plus.
  • Comfortable managing moderate to high-risk pregnancies.
  • A collaborative approach to patient care, working effectively with OB/GYNs and the clinical team.
