Position Overview:

In this role, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional direct and indirect patient-centered care. You will coordinate patient care by collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. It is essential to communicate the patient's clinical status effectively, responding promptly and accurately to any changes in their condition or treatment response.

You will demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, ensuring that you provide age-appropriate care to the diverse patient population we serve. Additionally, you will promote the nursing profession and professional practice through supportive interactions with colleagues. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a current nursing license in the State of Connecticut.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required upon hire or must be obtained during the introductory orientation period. Maintaining clinical competency throughout employment is essential.

Competencies:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
