We are partnering with a well-established organization seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to support a critical reconciliation and data cleanup initiative. This project-based opportunity is ideal for an analytical accounting professional who enjoys solving complex financial discrepancies, working with large datasets, and bringing clarity to challenging accounting environments.
This role will focus on reconciling accounts receivable activity, cash transactions, and financial records while collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve variances. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, thrives in investigative accounting work, and can independently navigate complex financial data.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and reconcile large volumes of accounts receivable and cash activity data • Perform detailed reconciliation of invoices, payments, credits, deductions, and remittance information • Investigate discrepancies between customer accounts and internal financial records • Review general ledger activity, payment journals, and write-off transactions for accuracy • Extract, validate, and interpret financial data from multiple systems and sources • Identify root causes of variances and recommend corrective actions • Document findings, reconciliation results, and resolution paths clearly and accurately • Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to resolve outstanding issues • Support data cleanup efforts and improve alignment between financial records and customer accounts
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Financial Analysis, Cash Applications, Revenue Accounting, or Staff Accounting • Strong background in account reconciliations and financial analysis • Experience working with large datasets and identifying inconsistencies across multiple sources • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliation functions • Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Preferred Experience
• Accounts Receivable analysis • Cash applications • Revenue accounting • Financial reporting and reconciliations • Legacy system conversions or data cleanup projects • FP&A or data analytics exposure is a plus

Pay Details: $35.00 to $39.00 per hour
