Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students in a dynamic educational environment near Jay, ME! This full-time, contract role spans the upcoming academic year, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference working from August 20, 2026, through June 9, 2027.

As an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting, you will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance students’ access to their educational curriculum and help them achieve their fullest potential. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating positive learning experiences and fostering independence for students across various grade levels.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Maine (or eligibility)
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
• Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs within the school environment
• Develop and implement individual therapy plans in alignment with students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents to deliver integrated services
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports according to district and state policies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered interventions
• Provide resources, strategies, and training to school staff to support classroom participation
