Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Vero Beach, FL

Make a meaningful impact supporting students from PreK through 8th grade as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity is on-site and located near beautiful Vero Beach, FL. You'll focus on resource therapy, serving as the only SLP on campus, allowing for autonomy and the ability to shape the therapy program directly for a single, close-knit school community.

This is a part-time commitment, with just 14 hours a week split across two days (7 hours/day), offering an excellent fit for SLPs seeking a flexible, predictable schedule during the academic year. The position is anticipated to start as soon as credentialing and fingerprinting clearances are complete and continues through early June 2027.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Florida SLP-CCC license required
• Prior experience in a school-based SLP role preferred
• Familiarity with supporting PreK–8th grade students
• Comfortable working independently as the only therapist on site
• Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing and fingerprint requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students in PreK through 8th grade
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Conduct assessments, create detailed progress reports, and participate in eligibility/IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to support student progress
• Maintain all required documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
