Our organization is in search of a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to become a part of our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) team. This essential role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing, and treating patients who are facing acute behavioral health crises. The psychiatrist in the CPEP is a crucial member of a multidisciplinary team, facilitating prompt decision-making and patient stabilization during the shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for individuals in crisis.
  • Formulate and oversee treatment plans, which may include psychopharmacological interventions and appropriate referrals for ongoing care.
  • Work collaboratively with emergency medicine physicians, nurses, social workers, and security staff to ensure coordinated, effective, and safe patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possession of an active medical license in New York State or eligibility for one.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and diagnostic abilities, with a proven capacity to excel in high-acuity environments.
  • Previous experience in emergency psychiatry or related behavioral health fields is highly preferred.
RECRUITMENT PACKAGE

Our organization provides a comprehensive salary and benefits package that includes:

  • Salary Range: $290,000 - $330,000, based on experience.
  • The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, and other forms of cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. This salary range is provided in compliance with State law and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
