The Greater Manchester Region employs around 2,500 individuals and encompasses Manchester Memorial Hospital, a community facility with 249 beds, Rockville General, a 102-bed campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. This region caters to approximately 300,000 residents across 19 towns.

Position Overview

In this role, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional direct and indirect patient-centered care. You will coordinate patient care by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families. Effective communication regarding the patient's clinical status is essential, as is the ability to respond swiftly and accurately to any changes in condition or treatment response.

Additionally, you will demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, ensuring that you provide age-appropriate care to the diverse patient population. You will also promote the nursing profession and professional practice through supportive interactions with colleagues. This position reports directly to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification:
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing school with a valid nursing license in the State of Connecticut.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required upon hire or must be obtained during the introductory orientation period, with ongoing clinical competency maintained throughout employment.
