Job Type

This position is Per Diem, meaning it operates on an as-needed basis. The schedule and hours will vary according to clinic requirements and will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy, your success will be measured by your ability to:

• Assess patient medical histories and create individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose patients by observing their movements and addressing their concerns.
• Utilize exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice).
• Strong work ethic and commitment to patient success.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT) is strongly preferred, or CHT-eligible (minimum of 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice), awaiting board examination.
• Completion of Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, with relevant continuing education, and 1-2 years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT.
• Experience in treating orthopedic upper-extremity conditions across all age groups, with a primary focus on adult patients preferred.

Compensation
