Job Description
Make an impact supporting students’ growth and development by providing occupational therapy services in a public K-8 charter school setting near the Philadelphia area. This contract-to-hire opportunity allows you to work approximately 20 hours per week, serving a diverse student body and collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Current educator certification required.
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Experience working in a school environment, particularly with K-8 students.
- Strong ability to assess and address student needs through individualized and group therapy.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support teams.
- Organizational skills for timely documentation and progress tracking.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs.
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with educational staff.
- Providing direct therapy sessions and consultative support within the school environment.
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on student progress and outcomes.
- Educating staff and families on strategies and accommodations to support student participation and success.
- Actively contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture.
