Occupational Therapist School Setting in Cottondale, FL

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current OT license (or eligibility for licensure) required
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
• Passion for empowering children and advocating for their needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic interventions to students, focusing on daily living, fine motor, and sensory processing skills
• Evaluate students to determine needs and recommend appropriate occupational therapy services
• Create, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans as part of the IEP process
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to optimize student outcomes
• Maintain accurate progress records and participate in IEP meetings
• Educate stakeholders on strategies to facilitate student participation in school routines
