Gynecologic Oncologist Opportunity
Job Description
We are in search of a board-eligible or board-certified physician, fellowship-trained in gynecologic oncology, who is eager to lead and enhance a robust community-based program. Our current offerings include access to state-of-the-art minimally invasive and radical surgical procedures, chemotherapy, clinical trials, as well as comprehensive benign gynecology services, high-risk screening, survivorship programs, and clinics focused on sexual health and lifestyle.
We welcome candidates with experience and interest in clinical research, particularly in clinical trials through pharmaceutical companies and cooperative groups, as well as outcomes-based research. Proficiency in advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques is highly desirable. The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic about contributing to a well-established oncology program in the northwest suburbs, joining the medical staff at our facilities in Huntley and McHenry.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and expand the gynecologic oncology program.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, interventional radiologists, and surgeons.
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Join a collaborative team that includes hematologists, surgical oncologists, thoracic and breast surgeons, general surgeons, and urologists.
- Primary clinic located in Huntley, IL, with hospital privileges at NM Huntley and NM McHenry Hospitals.
- Access to dedicated palliative care specialists and support staff, including GYO nurse navigators, genetic counselors, dietitians, social workers, financial counselors, physical therapists, and specialists in pelvic floor and lymphedema care.
- Support from committed physician assistants and nurse practitioners in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary GYO tumor board that meets weekly, with teleconferencing capabilities across three cancer centers in the region.
- Opportunity to engage in cooperative group and industry-sponsored clinical trials.
- Access to a dedicated surgical ICU with 24/7 intensivist and hospitalist support.
- Utilize advanced technology, including two Xi da Vinci robots, PET/CT, and 640-slice CT scanners.
- Clinical appointment available at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
The salary range for this position is between $405,000 and $545,000.
