Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting middle and high school students in the Houston area as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, on-site contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, offering the chance to make a lasting difference across one or more schools on Houston’s southwest side. Assignments are thoughtfully determined based on your ZIP code and preferences for working with grades 6-8 or 10-12.

Leverage your expertise to support a caseload of 50-60 students, providing a full range of speech-language pathology services. You’ll collaborate closely with students, educators, and families, conducting therapy, ARD meetings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring. Enjoy a flexible schedule with 37.5 hours per week, ideal for professionals seeking balance while providing impactful care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP license and FL licensure
  • Experience in school settings preferred (middle and/or high school)
  • Strong skills in conducting evaluations, ARDs, therapy, and comprehensive documentation
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for diverse age groups and needs
  • Comfortable working on-site, with reliable transportation around the Houston area
  • Must provide a current image of professional licensure
  • Capable of completing district-required fingerprinting (pre-existing fingerprints may be acceptable)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students in grades 6-8 or 10-12
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to develop IEPs and determine appropriate accommodations
  • Attend and participate in ARD meetings and interdisciplinary team activities
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments for eligibility determinations and progress updates
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
