Job Opportunity: Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to enhance our Women’s and Infants service line.

Position Overview:

• Focus on ambulatory and hospital perinatal consultations and ultrasounds.
• Participate in a 24-hour academic OB program.
• Engage in resident education with an emphasis on academic and quality improvement research.
• Collaborate clinically and academically with the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) and Texas Christian University (TCU) as well as the UNTHSC School of Medicine.
• Share call coverage with colleagues.
• Fetal Echo experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

Our Women’s and Infants Team consists of:

• 10 board-certified OB/GYN physicians
• 6 subspecialists
• 21 Advanced Practice Providers (WHNP and CNM)
• 16 OBGYN residents

This collaborative team provides comprehensive services for women at every life stage, including preventive healthcare, low and high-risk prenatal, childbirth, and postnatal care, menopause management, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology evaluation and treatment. Our facility is designated as a Level I Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Level IV MLOC, delivering an average of 4,000 babies annually with 24-hour in-house inpatient hospital coverage.

Required Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship training in the specialty.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Five years of independent practice experience is highly preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

• Current Texas Medical License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Unrestricted DEA registration.

• Demonstrated knowledge and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis, and treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, including medical history and examination results.
• Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other medical care to prevent or address illnesses, diseases, or injuries.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and analyze patient records to determine conditions.
• Collaborate with a clinical team of technicians, advanced practice professionals, and other physicians to make informed decisions regarding tests, diagnoses, and treatment options.
• Monitor patient conditions and progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.
• May perform surgical or non-invasive procedures within the specialty area.
