Job Description
Step into a fulfilling, contract-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with middle and high school students on the southwest side of the Houston area. As a valued team member, you will provide support across one or more school campuses, working with students in grades 6-8 or 10-12—tailored to your preference and experience. With the school year starting August 11, 2026, and concluding May 26, 2027, you’ll enjoy a consistent, full-time schedule—37.5 hours per week—allowing you to focus on delivering meaningful, student-centered therapy and interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure in Texas and Florida (please include an image of your license with your application)
- Previous experience in school settings as an SLP
- Ability to perform a variety of duties, including direct therapy, testing, assessment, and participation in ARDs/IEP meetings
- Familiarity with age-appropriate interventions for students in grades 6-8 and/or 10-12
- Compliance with district credentialing processes, including fingerprinting (candidates with existing prints may expedite onboarding)
- Available for on-site services throughout the assignment
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 50-60 students, adapting services to individual needs
- Deliver comprehensive SLP services, including therapy, evaluation, and documentation
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams in supporting student goals
- Contribute to ARDs and IEP development and meetings
- Travel to assigned schools based on proximity to your ZIP code, ensuring a manageable commute
