Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Jacksonville, NC
Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students from PreK through 5th grade. This rewarding contract position offers a full-time schedule of 39 hours per week, running from now through the end of the school year. Located conveniently north of Wilmington, NC and near the Jacksonville area, you’ll be welcomed into an environment focused on collaboration and student achievement.
Qualifications & Preferences:
- Active SLP license (SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates encouraged to apply)
- Experience or interest in school-based, pediatric, and healthcare-related speech services
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to best practices in speech therapy for diverse elementary-age populations
- Ability to start ASAP and remain through the end of school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group therapy for PreK-5th grade students
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educational teams
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments
- Compile and maintain organized documentation and progress notes
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture
