Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Palm City, FL
Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language therapy services in an engaging K-8 educational setting. This role is ideal for a seasoned SLP-CCC interested in making a meaningful impact working with a diverse group of students, from pre-kindergarten resource therapy up to 8th grade. As the sole SLP on campus, you’ll have the autonomy to tailor interventions and foster strong relationships with students and staff.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Florida SLP licensure
- Recent experience in a school setting preferred; comfortable working with PK–8th grade populations
- Ability to work independently as the only on-site SLP
- Successful completion of required district fingerprinting and credentialing (prior prints in ACHA Clearinghouse may expedite onboarding)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to a varied caseload of K-8 students
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments as needed
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation for service delivery and student progress
Assignment Details:
- Contract dates: ASAP through June 1, 2027
- On-site position; 14 hours weekly, scheduled over two days (7 hours/day)
- One assigned school, serving a range of elementary and middle school ages
