Legal Secretary - Litigation
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience

Work Schedule: Hybrid 2/3 after introductory period

About the Opportunity
A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support a busy litigation practice in its Los Angeles office. This is a full-time, non-exempt position supporting multiple attorneys within a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to litigation attorneys
  • Draft, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and reports
  • Prepare and file court documents, including electronic filings
  • Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and other case-related events
  • Assist with trial, hearing, mediation, and deposition preparation
  • Manage electronic case files and related documentation
  • Process time entries, assist with billing coordination, and support client matter administration
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reporting, and vendor payments as needed
  • Provide backup support to other legal support staff
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of legal secretary experience, preferably supporting senior attorneys or partners
  • Strong litigation experience required
  • Experience with court filings, including e-filing; appellate and supreme court filing experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with document management, calendaring, and time-entry systems; familiarity with NetDocuments, Best Authority, CompuLaw/ProLaw, and Aderant is a plus
