Make a meaningful difference as an in-person Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. Multiple opportunities are available to support students at both middle and high school levels close to Randolph, Vermont. These contract positions focus on providing direct instructional services within established school communities and collaborating closely with on-site and remote special education teams.

Openings include:

  • Middle School Special Educator: Deliver services and comprehensive case management at a vibrant middle and elementary school setting.
  • Middle School Special Educator: Provide key instructional support and partner with an experienced remote Case Coordinator to meet students’ needs.
  • High School Special Educator: Take on a hands-on role providing intensive services and overseeing your own caseload of students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Vermont teaching certification in Special Education, or recognition meeting all state-specific credentialing requirements.
  • Demonstrated success working with middle or high school students with special needs.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP case management, compliance, and best practices in inclusive education.
  • Commitment to working in-person throughout the assignment (remote options are not available).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and school staff.
  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in alignment with student goals.
  • Collect data and maintain accurate service records.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, parent conferences, and school initiatives.
  • Support transitions, progress monitoring, and legal compliance for each student on your caseload.

Positions begin August 28, 2026 and run through June 18, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. This is a contract role, providing the chance to build relationships and make an immediate impact in a supportive educational environment.
