This full-time, onsite contract role is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) seeking meaningful experience supporting adolescent learners as they achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois (IL)
- Previous experience working in school settings, specifically with high school populations
- Ability to work independently onsite; remote roles are not available for this position
- COTAs are not eligible for this opportunity (OTs only)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach to student support
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to high school students, tailoring interventions to meet individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administration, and families to facilitate student success
- Manage and organize a full caseload while maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to develop and update goals
- Employ evidence-based strategies to address fine motor, sensory, self-care, and access needs within the school environment
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where students can build essential life and academic skills
