This fulfilling contract position is conveniently scheduled for three days a week—Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—offering a balanced 22.5-hour workweek that fits seamlessly into your life.
As part of this role, you'll engage with a vibrant group of 20–30 pre-K students, providing essential services and supporting their development within a dynamic and welcoming educational environment. You'll play a crucial role in evaluating student needs, participating actively in special education assessments, and developing tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for state practice
- Previous experience or strong interest in working with pre-K students
- Familiarity with school-based OT methods, documentation, and service delivery
- Comfortable conducting special education evaluations, collaborating on IEPs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for parent and team interactions
- Ability to thrive in a team-focused, mission-driven educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess pre-K students to identify individual strengths and needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, speech therapists, and other specialists
- Develop and document effective intervention plans within IEPs
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services in accordance with best practices
