Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 8th grade as a school-based speech-language pathologist. In this flexible, part-time role, you’ll provide crucial speech and language services to a diverse caseload of 33 students over the full school year—making a meaningful difference just 2.5 to 3 days (18-20 hours) each week.
Your background in pediatric speech therapy, teletherapy, and a variety of school SLP settings will empower you to thrive in this collaborative environment. Whether you hold your CCC or are working toward your CFY, your expertise and passion for helping children develop their communication skills will be highly valued.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- SLP-CCC or SLP with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience working in K-8 or pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and IEP process
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct therapy sessions both in-person and via teletherapy as needed
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and families
- Provide support and advocacy for students’ speech and language needs
