This full-time position, located near Norwich and East Lyme, CT, runs from ASAP through December 31st, 2026, offering the chance to make a substantial impact as you work closely with students, educators, and families.

Hours are conveniently set from 8:45am to 3:45pm, providing structure and balance while fostering both personal and professional growth. You’ll enjoy a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students, allowing you to provide tailored support and dedicated attention to each child’s needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Connecticut.
  • Previous experience working in elementary school settings is highly valued.
  • Solid foundation in counseling, student assessment, and psychoeducational evaluations.
  • Strong skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and communication with students, staff, and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse student populations and support their academic, behavioral, and emotional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students’ social and emotional wellness.
  • Perform comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations as part of the special education process.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design effective intervention strategies.
  • Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Offer crisis intervention, consultation, and relevant professional development for staff as needed.
