Position Overview: Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing the physical therapy treatment plans for patients in their homes, as designed by the Physical Therapist.
• Administering non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities.
• Maintaining accurate client records and submitting clinical documentation to the office weekly.
• Participating in educational meetings and coordinating departmental in-services.
• Informing the Physical Therapist or Branch Director of any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or changes in staff or client status.
• Applying infection control principles and universal precautions while performing patient care tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• Active state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and dependable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience working collaboratively with a healthcare team.
• Thorough understanding of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes in the elderly population.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Compensation and Additional Information

Pay Structure: Compensation is based on a per visit/unit rate ranging from $45.00 to $62.00.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours.

Annual Salary Range: The estimated starting salary for full-time employment (40 hours per week) is between $70,400 and $96,300, depending on geographic location and individual qualifications such as skills, experience, education, and certifications.
