Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working within a high school setting.
  • Background as a Student Assistance Counselor or similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency with individual and group counseling techniques.
  • Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for students.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend interventions.
  • Collaborate with school staff to design and implement support strategies.
  • Develop and facilitate prevention and education programs addressing substance use, mental health, and academic resilience.
  • Assist students and families in connecting to community resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and progress.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote a safe and supportive environment.
