Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working within a high school setting.
- Background as a Student Assistance Counselor or similar role preferred.
- Proficiency with individual and group counseling techniques.
- Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support and crisis intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for students.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend interventions.
- Collaborate with school staff to design and implement support strategies.
- Develop and facilitate prevention and education programs addressing substance use, mental health, and academic resilience.
- Assist students and families in connecting to community resources.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and progress.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote a safe and supportive environment.
