Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Bloomfield, NJ

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold an active SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience, preferably with autistic and nonverbal populations
• Strong understanding of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable communicator
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families
• Clinical Fellowships are not eligible for this role

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to kindergarten students, tailoring interventions for primarily nonverbal, autistic learners
• Develop and implement individualized communication goals within IEP guidelines
• Provide recommendations for AAC devices and strategies to support functional communication
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate communication objectives into classroom routines
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
