Senior Tax Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a financial services organization seeking a Senior Tax Accountant. This position will join a collaborative corporate tax team and support quarterly tax provisions, federal and state income tax compliance, tax research, audit support, and tax planning analysis across their various entities.

This is a strong opportunity for a tax accounting professional with financial services industry experience who wants exposure to technical tax matters, leadership visibility, and a broad mix of compliance, provision, audit, and planning work.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare quarterly tax provisions
  • Prepare federal tax returns
  • Prepare state tax returns
  • Support consolidated filings
  • Research tax code matters
  • Analyze tax planning strategies
  • Assess transaction tax impacts
  • Support reinsurance tax analysis
  • Coordinate IRS and state audit responses
  • Review GAAP disclosures
  • Review statutory disclosures
  • Communicate with management
  • Support external auditor requests
  • Utilize tax research tools
  • Drive process improvements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of progressive tax accounting experience required
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Financial services industry experience preferred
  • CPA preferred

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
