Work Schedule and Responsibilities
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts with night call duties.
  • Patient Load: Manage 20-30 patients per shift.
  • Clinical Settings: Work in both outpatient clinics and conduct inpatient consultations.
  • Required Procedures: Proficiency in ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy, and upper endoscopy is essential.
  • Call Requirements: Beeper call with a 30-minute response time, averaging 2+ callbacks weekly.
  • GI Lab Procedures: Perform GI lab procedures following scheduled colonoscopies.
  • Emergency Department: Light call responsibilities for GI bleeds.
