Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Psychology
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Knowledge of current special education laws and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams, families, and administration
- Organizational skills and adaptability within dynamic educational settings
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver crisis intervention and social-emotional support as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to design prevention and intervention strategies
- Prepare and maintain timely, accurate documentation, reports, and recommendations
- Promote positive behavioral interventions and safe school environments
- Participate in student support and problem-solving teams
