GENERAL CLERK 2 - GENERAL CLERK 3 - Fuels and Lubricants Research 08-01365 Who We Are: With almost 70 years of experience as an independent research, development, and evaluation laboratory for fuels and lubricants, we are well qualified to tackle challenges affecting marine vessels and locomotives, trucks, and automobiles, and even hand-held power tools. By joining our team, you will receive an additional $500 in your first paycheck, minus taxes. Objectives of this Role: Handle clerical tasks with minimal day to day supervision. Must be able to work closely with management. May be required to assist in training subordinate staff in general clerk functions. Communication with Division clients and maintain documentation. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Answer phone with multiple lines. Handle receptionist duties, greet clients, accept deliveries, maintain supplies in supply room, perform other duties as assigned. Send pdf reports by email and fax. Provide administrative support as required. Handle lubricant and fuel samples. Process scheduling received from clients. Check if samples have arrived at the oil storage warehouse and using our LIMS program to log samples in and transport samples to the log-in area. Respond to internal personnel. Assist with Transferring/uploading report data between computer systems. Support areas in final test report generation, reproduction, verifying results, invoices, and document control. Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years: Experience in general clerical and administrative duties. Requires basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat); MS Outlook preferred. Must have experience with basic office machines; must be detailed oriented; excellent phone communication skills are required; must work well with others. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; must be self motivated and able to handle sensitive business information discretely. Strong communication skills and good organization skills. Prioritize workload and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work overtime. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
