About the Role
As a Structural Engineer, you'll leverage your expertise to design, analyze, evaluate, and certify advanced aerospace products and systems. From highly integrated aircraft and mission-critical payloads to sophisticated electronic systems and space exploration platforms, you'll play a key role throughout the product lifecycle.
Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, you'll assess complex metallic and composite structures, ensuring they meet rigorous performance, safety, and certification requirements while driving innovation in aerospace design.
What You'll Do
As a Structural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, evaluating, and certifying aerospace structures and systems
- Performing structural analyses on metallic and composite components
- Supporting the development of new products and engineering processes throughout the product lifecycle
- Conducting static and dynamic structural analyses to validate performance and reliability
- Utilizing Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to support design and analysis activities
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including design, manufacturing, systems, and test engineering
- Supporting airframe structural analysis and aerospace design initiatives
- Performing engineering simulations and structural assessments
- Evaluating fatigue life and damage tolerance characteristics of structural components
- Developing technical documentation, substantiation reports, and engineering recommendations
- Applying engineering best practices to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements
Required QualificationsEducation
-
Bachelor's Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Or a related engineering discipline
Typically 6+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Experience using Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary design and development teams
- Experience with Static Analysis and/or Dynamic Analysis
- Knowledge of aerospace structural design and engineering fundamentals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using:
- MSC Patran
- Nastran
- FEMAP
- ANSYS
Aerospace structural analysis
Airframe structural analysis
Static and dynamic analysis methodologies
- Fatigue analysis
- Damage tolerance analysis
- Experience utilizing:
- NASGRO
- AFGROW
- Classical structural analysis using industry-standard hand calculation methods
- Industry-standard mechanical design principles
- Parametric design
- Model-Based Definition (MBD)
- Material and hardware selection
- Manufacturing and production processes
- Authoring substantiation reports
- Aerospace industry background
- Defense industry experience
- Exposure to aircraft systems and related technologies
