Job Opportunity: Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is on the lookout for a full-time maternal fetal medicine specialist who is either board certified or board eligible. This role will support our outpatient faculty practices as well as the hospital dedicated to women's and newborns' health. The selected candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical care in an outpatient environment, which includes antepartum visits, preventive gynecologic care, and performing various office procedures.
  • Engage in an in-house labor and delivery call coverage pool specifically for maternal fetal medicine patients at the hospital.
  • Conduct clinical assessments by interpreting ultrasound scans and overseeing the antepartum testing unit.
  • Provide care for both antepartum and postpartum inpatients.
  • Instruct and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers.
  • Participate in ongoing medical education and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined based on qualifications and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, relocation assistance and opportunities for professional development are included.

Salary Range: $390,000 (Assistant Professor)

Qualifications
  • A medical degree is required.
  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Completion of a 3-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in maternal fetal medicine.
  • Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and maternal fetal medicine.
  • A valid New York State Medical License is required or must be obtainable.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching is essential.
