This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly with a K-12th grade population within a single school site, providing consistent support and meaningful connection throughout the academic year.
In this role, you will serve a diverse caseload of approximately 25 students, collaborating with educators and families to facilitate communication skills crucial for academic and social development. From August 24th through May 28th, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality, individualized intervention and support within a welcoming school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP-CCC certification
- Active state licensure/certification for Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Knowledge and comfort working with K-12 caseloads
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans targeting student goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in accordance with IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Offer guidance to school personnel regarding communication strategies and student needs
