Job Description
Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from preschool through 8th grade. Work within an encouraging environment near Sterling Heights, MI, where collaboration and professional growth are valued. This full-time role covers two school buildings, with a caseload of approximately 50 students. Hours are flexible and can be negotiated to fit your needs: either 7:45 AM–4:15 PM (PK–1 grade) or 7:15 AM–3:45 PM (grades 2–8). You'll have the chance to join a welcoming team a day or two before the first day of school to get acclimated and connect with staff.
What You’ll Need:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Michigan state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a diverse student caseload, collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans for students in preschool through 8th grade
- Provide direct therapy services, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing clinical insights and recommendations
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to foster student success
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers
