Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting middle and high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a contract position based in the Houston Area, located on the southwest side of the city. You’ll collaborate directly with schools close to your own ZIP code, making your daily commute more convenient while providing exceptional care to a diverse student population.
Key Qualifications:
- Active TX FL licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (please provide an image of your valid license)
- Experience working within school settings, specifically with students in grades 6-8 and 10-12 preferred
- Comfort managing a caseload of 50-60 students and delivering therapy, conducting ARDs/IEPs, and performing comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Familiarity with required school documentation and progress reporting protocols
- Flexibility to work onsite at either a middle or high school
- Willingness to complete district-mandated fingerprinting, unless already on file
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services for students in assigned schools (grades 6-8 and/or 10-12)
- Complete speech/language evaluations and develop IEPs in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with school staff to ensure high-quality student support
- Document therapy notes, progress, and maintain accurate case files
- Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary teams
This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) follows the academic calendar from August 11, 2026, to May 26, 2027. You’ll experience the satisfaction of making a difference in students’ lives while working closely with campus professionals in a supportive educational environment.
