School Psychologist in Colchester, CT

This full-time contract position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver essential psychological services, supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth. The assignment runs ASAP through December 31, 2026, providing stability and the chance to develop meaningful relationships within the school community. With a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students, you’ll have the time and support to make a real impact.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized support plans
• Skilled in both individual and group counseling at the elementary level
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Knowledge of IEP development and the special education process
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform psychological assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning
• Lead individual and small group counseling sessions tailored to student needs
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on best practices for supporting student success
• Participate in eligibility, IEP, and intervention meetings as a skilled advocate for students
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policy and state regulations
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
• Promote social-emotional learning within the classroom setting
