\nBusiness Operations (BizOps) is at the forefront of Mastercard’s DevOps transformation, leading the charge through tooling, automation, and advocacy across development, quality, release, and product teams.\n

\nBizOps ensures production readiness by partnering closely with developers to design, build, implement, and support services. Key responsibilities include:\n
\nEnsuring operational excellence in availability, performance, capacity, monitoring, self-healing, and deployment automation.\n
\nSupporting daily operations with a focus on root cause analysis and business impact.\n
\nDriving the “shift-left” approach, engaging early in development to enhance reliability.\n
\nManaging risk and compliance across all environments.\n
\nStandardizing and streamlining traditional support functions.\n
\nActing as a key communication bridge between internal and external stakeholders.\n
\nAligning product and customer priorities with operational needs.\n
\n
\nResponsibilities\n
\nEngage in and improve the entire service lifecycle – from design to deployment and operations.\n
\nAnalyze ITSM platform activities and provide feedback to development teams on operational gaps and resiliency issues.\n
\nProvide system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch readiness support.\n
\nMonitor and maintain system availability, latency, and health.\n
\nScale systems through automation and reliability-focused improvements.\n
\nSupport and improve the CI/CD pipeline for software promotion, enforcing validation and operational gating.\n
\nLead DevOps automation initiatives and best practices at Mastercard.\n
\nDrive sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.\n
\nTake a holistic approach to problem-solving during production incidents, improving Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).\n
\nWork effectively with a globally distributed team across multiple time zones.\n
\nShare knowledge and mentor junior engineers.\n
\n
\nQualifications\n
\nBS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.\n
\nStrong foundation in algorithms, data structures, scripting, software design, and pipeline management.\n
\nSystematic problem-solving approach with excellent communication, ownership, and drive.\n
\nExperience debugging and optimizing code, and automating manual tasks.\n
\nAbility to handle high-pressure situations and make decisions with urgency.\n
\nProficiency in one or more programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.\n
\nExperience working with large-scale distributed systems and troubleshooting them effectively.\n
\nExperience with CI/CD tools, such as:\n
\nGit/BitBucket\n
\nJenkins\n
\nMaven\n
\nArtifactory\n
\nChef\n
\nStrong background in designing and implementing efficient CI/CD flows that get code from development to production with high quality and minimal manual effort.\n

Pay Ranges
O'Fallon, Missouri: $76,000 - $127,000 USD\n\n\n\n
