LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant for one of our clients in the Indianapolis area. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to further develop their career with a stable and growing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience with month-end close activities, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
- Analyze account activity and investigate variances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience working within an ERP system preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
