Job Description
Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving middle or high school students in the Houston area. This full-time, on-site contract role spans the academic year, from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and offers the opportunity to support students in grades 6-8 or 10-12—aligned with your preference. With a manageable caseload of 50-60 students per assignment, you’ll directly impact student development and communication skills.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Texas FL licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (upload image of license with your application).
- Previous experience providing SLP services in a school setting, including direct therapy, participation in ARD meetings, and conducting evaluations.
- Strong ability to manage a caseload of 50-60 students in middle or high school.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for engaging with students, families, and education teams.
- Must complete district fingerprinting as part of credentialing (candidates with existing prints may be expedited).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive SLP services, including assessments, interventions, and documentation.
- Participate in and lead ARD meetings, collaborating with faculty and parents to develop and implement IEPs.
- Adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs, fostering a supportive atmosphere for communication growth.
- Coordinate scheduling and support for multiple schools, conveniently matched by ZIP code.
- Maintain ongoing communication with school staff and administrative teams to maximize student progress.
