Job Description
Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful impact in school settings for the 2026-2027 school year! This contract position offers the chance to split your expertise and care between two vibrant school communities, working four days a week with a consistent, manageable schedule. You'll spend two days each week at each school within easy reach of Keene, NH, totaling 30 hours per week.
Desired skills and background:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric environments preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage schedules and travel between local school sites
- Desire to work with and positively influence children from diverse backgrounds
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and implement interventions for students with varying needs
- Assess, document, and monitor student progress, updating goals as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Support development of fine motor, adaptive, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills
- Contribute to IEP meetings, goal-setting, and ongoing evaluations
- Ensure compliance with all school, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain clear records and timely communication with staff and families
