This full-time, contract role begins September 1st and focuses on providing essential services to a caseload of approximately 50 students. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping students reach their communication goals and thrive in their academic environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Washington SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working in a school environment, especially at the high school level, is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of high school students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with student goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and updates
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and federal guidelines for school-based SLP services
- Offer direct and consultative services for a caseload of approximately 50 students
