- Focus on outpatient clinical care.
- Engage in teaching Internal Medicine residents and medical students.
- Participate in clinical trials.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Completion of fellowship training in either Geriatric Neurology or Behavioral Neurology.
- Two-year income guarantee of $340,000.
- Recruitment incentive of $100,000.

Our integrated multispecialty practice, which includes MercyOne Ruan Neurology, features a statewide referral network. Our team comprises ten neurologists and four advanced practice providers who address a wide range of neurological conditions across various specialties. We are recognized as an MS Center of Excellence by The Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. Opportunities for outreach and tele-neurology are available, and our services are complemented by three neuropsychologists who conduct extensive testing. We collaborate closely with departments such as Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Pain Medicine. Our practice is also actively involved in clinical research and serves as faculty for residents in Family Medicine, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine, as well as medical students from Des Moines University.
MercyOne Des Moines encompasses four hospitals in central and southern Iowa, totaling 875 beds, and manages 16 rural hospitals. Our main facility, the MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, is a Level II Trauma center with 550 beds, serving a tertiary area of 1.4 million people and hosting one of Iowa's busiest emergency departments. We have received the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Stroke Association and are certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.
