Step into a fulfilling full-time contract role supporting students in grades PK-5 as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. Located near Quincy, MA, this opportunity is a 12-week maternity leave coverage with the potential for extension, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in an elementary school environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state
  • Previous experience in school-based OT services, including IEPs and goal setting
  • Background in pediatric, home health, or general healthcare OT considered a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to assess and implement individualized therapeutic interventions for children with diverse needs
  • Familiarity with documentation and record-keeping requirements in an educational setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students, supporting fine motor, sensory, and self-care skill development
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on each student’s strengths and needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to integrate therapies within classroom activities
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations and progress updates
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with families
  • Adapt interventions for changing student needs throughout the assignment duration
