Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming full school year. This contract position offers two openings with full-time hours (37.5 per week) supporting schools near Kent, WA. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Valid state licensure or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Previous experience providing speech and language services in school settings strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload of students across grade levels
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and required reports
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
